The Emperor is the fourth card in the Tarot and is the bringer of authority and leadership in managing the lessons we have learned up to this point on our path toward inner transformation. He assists in the creation of change through the power of intention and free will. He represents leadership in bringing higher aspects of spiritual knowledge to the planes of physical manifestation. With enlightened energy to lead and build, we can move into a better relationship with the chaos that sometimes surrounds us. He works with the Empress, not overpowering her but working with her, to form new beginnings that offer stability and structure for inner growth to flourish.
